The My Best Night community brings together millions of people with different cultures, values and norms. When you join My Best Night, we ask you to accept our Community Commitment:
“I commit to treating every member of the community with respect and without bias, regardless of skin color, religion, nationality, origin, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.”
Users — including hosts and fellow travelers — must not discriminate against others based on the following protected characteristics: race, religion, gender, age, disability, family status (having children), marital status, ethnicity, country of origin, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, caste, pregnancy and related health conditions.
This includes refusing or cancelling a booking, imposing different terms or house rules (access restrictions, fees, booking requirements), or stating a preference for or against a specific type of traveler.
Users must not use language that encourages exclusion, segregation or violence, or that demeans, insults, stereotypes or degrades a person because of a protected characteristic — including slurs, misgendering, microaggressions and hate speech.
Users must not display hateful symbols, objects, logos, slogans or images that stereotype people or convey a discriminatory message.
Hosts may not decide on behalf of travelers that a listing is unsuitable for a certain age or for families with children, nor refuse bookings or apply different conditions because of age or family status — unless required by law.
Hosts may provide factual, accurate information about their property (or the absence of features) so travelers can decide for themselves. Mobility aids must never be prohibited and travelers with disabilities must never face extra fees or discouraged bookings.
We expect our community to respect the gender each user expresses, including stated pronoun preferences. Hosts may not refuse a booking or apply different treatment because of a traveler’s expressed gender identity.
A host who shares common areas (bathroom, kitchen) may offer the listing to travelers of the same gender as the host.
Dedicated teams enforce this policy. Violations may lead to warnings, listing suspension or removal, or account suspension or removal. If you believe you have experienced discrimination, please contact us so we can investigate and, where needed, help you find alternative accommodation.
